Intensifying regulatory requirements leave no room for error when putting goods into consumers’ hands, yet in 2016 51% of product recalls are caused by packaging errors such as misprints. The more rules there are, and the more frequently these change, the greater the scope for error. Similarly, the more products and markets regulatory departments are dealing with, and the shorter the release cycles, the bigger the chance that a mistake can happen.
