If you will be attending RAPS’ Regulatory Convergence in San Jose next month, go download the RAPS Events app for your smart phone now. The app was unveiled for the first time at last year’s Convergence in Baltimore and it proved to be a runaway hit. Users found it useful, fun and intuitive.
Last year, Convergence veterans and first-timers alike used the app to engage with one another, share photos, observations and takeaways from the sessions they attended and compete to see who could earn more points by performing actions on the app. Popular actions included checking in at specific locations, creating bookmarks, posting status updates, leaving comments and liking others’ posts and photos. Overall, at the 2015 Convergence, the app was used by 1,121 attendees to perform more than 426,000 actions, numbers that far exceeded expectations for the app’s debut.
This year, it will include nearly all of the same features and functionality. Convergence attendees will use it to stay informed, organized and connected. The app offers users a convenient tool for finding information about sessions, speakers, events and activities; creating personalized agendas; accessing speaker presentation materials; reviewing sessions and speakers; participating in polls and surveys; and sharing comments and photos; as well as a fun way to earn points and prizes.
It can also connect with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn so you can share updates with everyone in your social networks. The Convergence hashtag is #2016RAPS.
To download the app for Apple iOS or Android devices, or to use a web-based version, go to this page, or search for “RAPS Events” in the app store. Then log in to the app with the email you used to register for the Convergence and the password: raps16.
