RAPS respects the privacy of its members and website visitors. The RAPS website collects data only to better serve members and other users of our website.
Information Collected by RAPS
Individual information, including contact information and demographics, is gathered from members, RAPS Store customers, education and research users, conference registrants and others. To gain access to members-only areas and personalized features on the website, users must create a RAPS account and provide individual information. Information submitted online may be used for other RAPS marketing uses, such as email and mail notifications of upcoming events that match the interests you provide us. This information is submitted voluntarily.
Disclosures to Third Parties
RAPS does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone except when:
- We have your consent to share the information;
- We need to share your information to provide the product or service you requested; or
- We need to send the information to companies working on behalf of RAPS to provide a product or service.
Companies that receive personal information from RAPS in order to execute the businesses of RAPS may use personal information only for that purpose.
RAPS also makes members names and business contact information available to other members on the RAPS website via the online Member Directory on RAPS Regulatory Exchange (RegEx). Members may request that information is blocked from the online Member Directory through the Name and Contact Preferences page of this website or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Credit Card Account Information
RAPS does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, RAPS submits only the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.
