Your RAC credential highlights your ongoing commitment to regulatory excellence. However, after you complete the exam, you must maintain your credential through continued education and professional development activities.

Maintain your RAC by acquiring 36 hours of recertification credits every three years. Recertification is based upon participation in educational and professional activities, including:
Tracking Your Recertification Activities
RAPS provides a Professional Development Tracker to maintain a record of your recertification activities. You should maintain supporting documentation for each listed activity (supporting documentation might include certificates, receipts, conference programs, published work with byline). Please do not submit this supporting documentation with your recertification application but keep it on file in the event of an audit.
Deadlines and Requirements
The RAC recertification cycle begins 15 June for those who take the spring exam and 15 December for those who take the autumn exam.
The fee for each three-year recertification renewal is $150 (RAPS member) or $250 (list) additional fees apply for late recertification applications. Recertification application received more than a year late will not be processed and will require retake of examination.
