4 October 2023

New this year! You will be asked to indicate your interest in participating at a dine-around at one of six Montreal restaurants. RAPS will collect a refundable $25 deposit which will be forfeited in the event you don’t attend. Participants will be contacted 1 month prior to Convergence with restaurant details. Coordinate with your peers to reserve a spot at the same dine-around event. Quantities are limited to 12 participants per restaurant. Individuals will be responsible for their meal expenses. RAPS will provide local restaurant information and resources for those who would like to make their own reservations after the capacity is reached.

Registration Policy and Procedures

RAPS has initiated a Be Well policy, with consent required during the registration process. This includes the stipulation that if you feel sick or are experiencing COVID-like symptoms prior to traveling or while onsite in Montreal you will reconsider your participation at the event.

To ensure your personal safety and comfort during Convergence, RAPS is committed to robust and transparent communications during the event. We encourage all participants to monitor RAPS social media channels and download the conference app to their mobile devices to receive up-to-the-minute updates.

You will receive a confirmation after successfully submitting your registration. Email RAPS Registration at raps@mcievents.com, if you have not received the email confirmation.  Registrations received without payment will not be processed.

  1. Credit card payments (MasterCard, Visa and American Express) are accepted through the online registration system.

  2. If you wish to pay by check, wire or ACH transfer please contact raps@mcievents.com

  3. For multiple registrations being paid by check or wire transfer, please contact raps@mcievents.com

All requests for cancellations must be received in writing at raps@mcievents.com by 11:59 pm EDT on 16 August. All cancellations are subject to an assessment fee according to the schedule below:

Requests received by 23 July by 11:59 pm EDT will be assessed a 10% fee. Requests received between 24 July and 20 August at 11:59 pm EDT will be assessed a 20% fee. Requests received between 21 August and 4 September will be assessed a 50% fee. Cancellations received after 4 September will be non-refundable, except in cases of documented medical emergencies.

Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.

Replacement of a registered RAPS Convergence attendee by a business colleague/co-worker with the same membership status will be accepted. A $50 processing fee will apply to all substitutions if notified in writing by 11:59 pm EDT on 1 September. After 1 September no substitutions will be allowed.

RAPS reserves the right to cancel any conference at its sole discretion, whereupon all registration fees will be refunded within seven business days. RAPS is not responsible for any costs incurred due to a cancellation, including travel and lodging.

By registering for this RAPS Event, you grant full permission to RAPS to capture, store, use, and/or reproduce your image or likeness, photograph, voice, and comments, and use such content in any and all media or forms by RAPS or third parties without compensation or notice, including for promotional or advertising purposes. You also waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the images, recordings, or materials. By registering, you release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless RAPS from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the images, recordings or materials, including but not limited to claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or rights of publicity or copyright infringement, or any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion or use in composite form that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction or production of the finished product, its publication or distribution. 

By registering for this event, I provide consent that my profile will be stored with RAPS and shared with processors for the purpose of doing business with RAPS. I consent to receiving announcements from RAPS and that I can opt-out at any time by contacting RAPS.

I am aware that my name and mailing address will be provided to event exhibitors and company and title may be shared with speakers and that I may opt out of communications with them at any time by contacting them directly.

Audio or video recordings of Convergence Sessions is prohibited.

As regulatory professionals, we have the professional and ethical responsibility to maintain the highest professional conduct standards and embody the RAPS Code of Ethics in our words, actions, and deeds. Consequences for unacceptable behavior may include dismissal from the event.

RAPS has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at our meetings. If you witness unacceptable behavior, please contact RAPS staff as soon as possible, either in person or by completing this anonymous form.

Unacceptable Behavior is defined as:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.

  • Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, RAPS staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.

    • Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, RAPS staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.

  • Disruption of presentations, expo hall exchanges or networking events in-person or across a virtual platform.

  • Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. RAPS reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.

  • Participants should not copy or take screen shots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in-person or virtually.
